We are a small kennel with just a few dogs; located in Vada, Georgia in a small
community just north of Bainbridge.  

We take great pride in raising quality, healthy, happy puppies with excellent
temperaments.  
Our adults and puppies are handled daily and are used to other animals (horses &
cows) & different sounds (guns,  four wheelers & boys).
They are not shut up in pens all day they actually get to play and just be dogs.  They
get to run in the woods and play in the water.  This is great exercise and they love
hanging out with their humans.

We believe dogs should experience nature first hand; for puppies this is so good for
their development.... to use all of their senses.  They need to feel something else
besides concrete under their feet.

Our dogs are a  part of our family, they get love and attention everyday and this shows
in the puppies we produce.



Occasionally we have young adults that have been trained or have started basic
obedience that are for sale.

Training is available:  We have an excellent trainer that trains for us.
How we came about our name.

We live in the woods on forty-four acres and the slough
runs through the back of our property, thus this is  
where our name came from.   Slough Bottom Kennel

It's not our intention to improve on what God has given to us in the form
of the German Shepherd but to get the best and the most out of every
Working Dog we breed and train . The Foundation has to be--sound
body and mind -strong nerves,very high drive levels and an absolute
desire to protect and defend !! When breeding GSD's you absolutely
have to use the most qualified male[s] available and in our case we are
VERY proud to say that we own and can draw from what has to be
considered  some of the very best Working dogs and their gene pool in
the whole United States !!  Diddy von der Costa-Brava---- is the Sire of
Java's puppies a bitch with an absolute World Class Working Pedigree
[litter to be born around January the 7th 2011] besides being and
producing Very Hard dogs he is also one of ONLY 3% of GSD's [yes only
three percent ] that has received in Germany a Breed Qualification
Scorecard of -------    Kkl- 1- for Life !!!!!! what that means this Dog will
retain his Qualification for the rest of his life without ever having to be
judged again!! Then eventually we will also have available a Son of Diddy
that was bought by Jorg and will reside with him but you'll see him grow
up on this website and as all of Jorg's male dogs will grow up to be very
hard and civil and then we also are very privileged to be able to use and
have available for Stud what we consider a true Super star--Lucan -a dog
that has it all --Toughness-extreme drives- and a body like a Mack Truck !!
